Central Working's Grade II listed Manchester club lies a stone's throw from the city centre. We have a state of the art 150 capacity lecture theatre and meeting room suite on-site, while downstairs our partners at Grindsmiths Coffee offer excellent hot drinks and treats. In contrast to that bustling atmosphere is the calm, airy and open space upstairs, with floor to ceiling windows and balconies overlooking a beautiful square. The period building houses a bohemian space with a chatty and collaborative attitude. The diverse mix of companies and members all help each other out, breeding positivity and great work days.Book a tour

We're not in an enclosed space, hidden away from the world. We're working with like-minded people in a like-minded environment. We're not locked away in an office. We can bounce ideas off other start-ups and other companies that facilitate what we do, and that makes us better, stronger for our clients - which is the most important thing.
After relocating back to my home town, Manchester, I visited several co-working spaces, but CW stood out; it’s vibrant, bustling and accommodates a broad mix - anyone can feel at home here. The staff played an integral part in getting our Manchester branch running, connecting us with relevant people. They also realise the importance of socialising - their events have helped me feel settled and connected while away from my team.
I chose Central Working for the collaborative spirit, but we've all stayed for the excellent location in Manchester, and the professional, but creative style.
There’s a relaxed atmosphere that brings that London/ Shoreditch vibe to the North West I think. It's not even about me, it's a great atmosphere for my staff to work in; we're a tech company and you need that feeling. There's not just one thing that stands out. You meet like-minded people in a similar industry, tech-wise. It's just a really good thing.
When we first started out we looked at lots of places but they didn't seem to have anything different about them, whereas there's a sense of community in Central Working; like-minded individuals that we can feed off, and feed ideas to. It's more relaxed and it's just a lot nicer! There's not anything else like this in Manchester.
The environment the staff create is just great to be in, and the space is really light. And lots of people here work within our area - marketing. We can get involved with companies with similar attributes; it just makes sense to be here.
The ideal place for my business.
I love this place. The welcome team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, introducing me to members, potential clients and collaborators. The meeting space is fantastic - it's a place you can bring clients with confidence. It's friendly, but not in your face - you won't be accosted every 5 minutes but there's always someone around for a chat if you want one. There's free tea and coffee (the good stuff), a discount at Grindsmith, and with regular social events you're never short of new friends.
I've been a member since December and found it the best co-working space in the city centre. It's a nice mix of professionalism but still informal. Also, the staff are really friendly and will always try to help.
You also get what you pay for and clients are always impressed when they visit. Having a coffee shop is always a bonus too!
I have spent just over a month at Central Working and the experience has exceeded my expectations. I have launched a new office for our company and am the only employee in the region. Central Working's team has made me really welcome and supported me to connect with a range of useful contacts.
There are other shared workspaces in Manchester, all offering different work environments. For me, it was key that none of our clients coming to see us felt alienated and Central Working does a fantastic job of mixing a professional workspace with a relaxed, friendly, and easy atmosphere. A lot of credit for this has to go to the team, who work exceptionally hard to make everyone feel included and support networking amongst members and non-members. Facilities are good, and the team are always looking at ways to improve the member experience, which they regularly deliver on.
If you are looking for a friendly and supportive place to work and want to collaborate with those around you, Central Working is really worth a look. Brilliant businesses, open and approachable people, staff who care about what they are trying to achieve, and a decent brew in the café downstairs. What more do you want?!
